At this juncture, I sent him a goofy yahoo card with stuffed animals on it.
He left me hanging a little bit so I thought I'd catch up on him. Left me a little room to think and play around with some more ideas.

I wanted to let you know today that I had partial success and have secured an additional fax line. Still no phones though. But at least we are making forward movement. The new number is 1-530-267-4490. I had it tested today and it is working we on receiving, but still no outgoing.
Well, I just wanted to say hello and update you on my communications situation. How is the picture coming? I will not accept excuses. I consider this an act of respect and a neighborly gesture. I have done all that you have asked. I ask this small favor. Just 'Nuutz' held up by your chin.

Since the day I wrote you last, I have been there to monitor things myself and know the developments/progress with the registration of your centre. Everything is working for good for us. Actually, I shuttle between Abuja and Lagos three to four times in a week because of this registration/transaction. It is really tasking. But this is what we have to do to get the funds wired into your account in the Cayman Islands. No problems at all. There is just a lot of paper work that goes with the registration and it takes time too. You know all government bodies and their bureaucracies!!!
It has cost me a lot of money to get your firm registered and even before now, we have been spending through our nose to ensure that all goes well even right from when the plan was hatched. We have been gratifying the various officials financially for the betterment of this transaction all the way. For the betterment of our future together my brother. You see this is one of the reasons why I have been emphasising the issue of verbal communication between us so that this efforts will not be wasted. When is your corporate cell phone package going to be ready? Because I don't think the phone lines will be restored this weekend like you said.
As regards my picture, I will send you my picture in due course and I want you to bear with me because I am really sorry to say that I have not been having it easy lately with time and chance especially in respect of this transaction. It is taking almost all my time. I have to do all that is necessary for this transaction, carry out my statutory duties as a civil servant and then my family. It is not easy my friend to combine all these roles and I pray you would understand. I am under intense pressure with the workload I have on me.
Remember I told you in one of my mails that I am on an official assignment at the Bonny export terminal?! The project is a huge one and I am directly supervising the project. I have been found wanting in discharging my duties at the export terminal solely because of this transaction. I am ready to bear the pain because I want a new lease of life with you in the USA. Thank you for your most flattering update. My wife is fine and the kids are great. I must admit my pidgin is not as good as it used to be but I thought that might be a nice surprise for you.
I did not know you travel between Abuja and Lagos ---that is a formidable journey and only a committed man such as yourself could endure such a trek. I, too, know the weariness of travel. I have 17 facilities based around the country with many employees and projects to contend with on a daily basis. We once encountered a homosexual freshmen class of Alpha male subjects that created havoc for our facility in San Francisco. We were unaware of the problem until one of our custodial workers, Kenny, was in the cage cleaning when he bent over to pick up some banana peels and Wham!!!! He was never the same. In fact, he still has to take exlax daily to perform his normal movements. I heard he listens to show tunes now and has Judy Garland pictures all over his apartment. Oh well, enough of these back door antics.
I tried to call you today, from the bar I frequent, and I get a weird clicking sound when I dial. I am not sure if it is because the communications are still not completed or it is because of your telecommunications systems. I have been to Lagos before and have seen the mess on your telephone poles. I will try again tomorrow if I am able to find a phone that works.
I think you misunderstood me about the picture, Tobi. They way you put it sounds like a little like a same-sex Harlequin romance novel. I want a picture of you with a sign with my name ‘Nuutz’ written on a piece of cardboard or paper ---- and hold that up to your chin……so I know it is you, my friend. So that I may know you better. I do not remember if I sent my identification to you or if you need it so I am attaching that also, if you need to show it to your colleagues, for transaction purposes. Please get this done as it makes me nervous in your delay. I told you I deal with primates and hillbilly girls. I do not know real human interaction. I did not mean to worry you. I Am so sorry but Mary was injured and I have been at the hospital. At first, I thought I was going to lose her. I stopped by home to retrieve few things for her and this is the first time I have checked my email and I cannot have a cell phone at the hospital. I will write and call tomorrow but I Must get back to the hospital. She will be in surgery tomorrow and I do not know when she will be out....but I Wanted to at least send you a note. I am sorry my friend. Mary is still in the hospital and I have not left her side. She has to go in for surgery one nore time.
She was in a car accident two weeks ago and suffered massive injuries. I have been so worried for her. I have not left the hospital or tended to my business in to weeks. The nurses here were kind enough to provide me with an internet connection so I may take care of some of my business. They do not allow cell phones here at all. Out children are all here now and we are very worried. She goes in for surgery tomorrow morning to try and stabilize her. She has already had two surgeries.
If all goes well she may be home within a week or so. I might be able to relax a little after tomorrow. Please pray for her my friend. This has been very upsetting. I hope you never have to go through anything like this my friend. This is the most horrible experience I have ever been through.

I am very sorry to learn about all these. I never thought it could be that bad. She must be going through a lot of pain with such a car accident occurrence. I magine she has gone through the agony of two surgeries already and then one more today. I feel very sorry for her. I must tell you that our prayers are working because despite the fact that I am not there, I said my prayers with faith and booked mass intentions for her and I know that God will not let us down. I am very sorry and please extend my heart felt regards to her.
I am very proud of you Dr. Nuutz because you have not left her side since then. You a dear and responsible husband and father to your children. You have shown a nice, caring and humble husband/parent that you are. I am very proud of you. You know I told you we hold our women in high esteem down here and you have done same and even gone further. I know that she would make the surgery today and let me tell you this, it is just a formalty surgery. God has cured her already. He has stretched forth his mighty healing hands and have put her in her right shape. The physical scars that may come with this accident is ephemeral. She is the apple of God's eye. She WILL make it Dr. Nuutz and I am sure of that. We are God's children and he is never far from us.
Right now we are working on the approval of the funds, US$38.6m for payment into your offshore account in the Cayman Islands. You know these things are not easy to get sometimes especially when the authorities/government is concerned. I am trying really hard and I KNOW FOR SURE that it will be approved for payment soon. We are doing all necessary here to get things to work out. We have even been gratifying the officials financially so that we will get what we want easily. Actually the process has been delayed by the current face off between the executive and the legislative. The president of Nigeria in the person of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is having it tough with the legislative. He is currently threading on dangerous waters and he might not survive it. In fact, he has been advised to resign or be impeached. A lot of administrative improprieties and several accusations have been levelled against him. There has been accusations and counter accusations between both parties. The country has not been rosy and the hopes of Nigerians have been dashed as the economy of the country has nose dived at rocket speed. Things have really become so bad that people are even dying on the streets. It is that bad and for reasons like these and many more, his resignation has been called for. Foriegn countries have advised thier citizens not to travel to Nigeria.
In fact, your country, the USA's administrative department has declared a "caveat emptor" on Nigeria. Your country's government has taken a swift move by strongly advising Americans intending to come to Nigeria not to come because there is political instability in Nigeria. It is true I must tell you becuase a new transition is imminent and there is political thuggry with hoodlums in the center of it all everywhere. Nigeria is trully unstable right now and it may degenerate further. I think it right of the USA to have warned its citizens on time.
You see my friend, it is because of so much uncertainties like this and a lot more that has prompted us to embark on this funds transfer deal. I am threading the right path with you on this transaction. The country is really messed up and things are getting worse as the day goes by. The average Nigerian is impoverished. He is just survivng and poverty is everywhere. As soon as this present political face off cools off, I am sure the funds will be approved for payment because normalcy will resume. It is rather funny because it seems that it is in our favour in the sense that it created room for you to be with Mary in her time of need. I hope you do not know anyone that wants to come to Nigeria now or in the future? I am asking so that you will help pass the message and warn them not to come down because it is simply unsafe. Tell them there is political instability in Nigeria and you heard it from a reliable source. I don't want you to experience anymore hurt by the possible virtue of the situation in my country and your people travelling down. I remember that you said your wife will be coming to Ado Ekiti in one of your mails. Tell her to stay clear because as soon as our funds is wired into your account, we are coming down to the US and no coming back to Nigeria.

I must say the Angels in Heaven were summoned by the strongs voices of my friend and his church!!!!!!!!! All is well my Paddy!!!! Mary is well. She pulled through her final operation with flying colors. I know it was you prayers because I could feel as though you were next to me and helping me and helping me hold my head high!!
I must say we were very nervous at first. After the second operation she had a massive Candidiasis infection that complicated matters. Her fever went up dramtically and (it was really weird) the room smelled like bread. Maybe, it was just me. I have been experiencing high anxiety over this.
I must thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have truly been there for me. We should be hearing from the doctor, over the next few days, when we will be able to take Mary home. I must say the Hospital is nice, but I do miss my home. I have not been there since August 13th. I have always felt your presence next to me. I will let you know soon. I will call you when I return home and we can discuss our business then. But now, we must rejoice and praise God.
I must return to Mary now my friend and I look forward to your blessed response. God Bless you and your Church!!!!!!!!!!

I am very happy to learn that Mary has pulled through. I am delighted at this good news. Our prayers have been answered my friend. Like I told you in one of my mails, God is never far from us and he answers whenever we call on him. My paddy, I am really happy for you. Please, extend my regards to Mary & the kids. Like it is done here, I will in your honour, give a thanksgiving offering with my family in Church on Sunday for the miraculous deed of God. He is the one that restored her. She is her daughter you know! I have to inform my wife about this. Meanwhile, the face off between the President of Nigeria and the legislative seems like it will become cool soon and as soon as this is so, the funds will be approved for payment. I am keeping my fingers crossed because I know for sure that it will definitely come to pass and very soon too.

Hello my Brother,
Mary is well and fine. Her release from the hospital was delayed and my apologies for not getting with you sooner. It appears she had a little setback from the Candidiasis infection, but all is well now. She is due to be released on Monday and we are both extemely happy to be going home. I will need to care for her for the next month or so until she is complete.
I will give you more details later, my friend. I have to get back in her room for more testing. She asks about you and wishes you well.

It feels really nice and good to hear from you again. I am very happy to learn that Mary is well and that she will be discharged on Monday. You really have to care for her a lot more now. She needs you by her more now and you have to live up to billing. Please extend my regards to her that I am very happy with her and also happy that it is all over. Indications are rife here that the face off between the president and the legislators is cooling off though the country is still politically unstable and quite unsafe most times. But in the midst of all these, God knows his people and he lifts them up at all times. He makes sure that the sun shall not smithe us by day neither will the moon smite us by night. He fends for his children we are his children. In the midst of all these Dr. Nuutz, we are soon going to be singing with joy in our hearts for the time is near for our transaction to come to an outstanding and successfull end.

How are you today my brother Tobi? I apologize for the lack of correspondence, however I have been very busy preparing for Mary's return. She still has a long way to go. I am setting up our home to care for her. There are a variety of things that need to be done before I take her there. I noticed I have had several messages from my stock broker, in my short visits to our home to retrieve things for Mary. I do hope there is good news waiting for us. I have not checked our portfolio since Mary's accident.
I do apologize for being so selfish these last few weeks. How are you and your family. I do hope all is well. And give regards to your Parish, I am saying prayers for all asking the good Lord to look favorably on them.
Mary is due to come home tomorrow, unless the doctor's want to keep her another day. I will let you know. The doctor's have said no later than Wednesday. They want to make sure the Candidiasis has cleared up.

We are finally home now at the best discretion of the Doctor. I have Mary set up now. I have converted our room into a care center. I am very thankful for your prayers. We are going to rest now. I will call you the day after tomorrow. Tomorrow is September 11th and we are going to pay reverence to all those lost in the WTC tragedy in NYC. I will not be conducting any business tomorrow. I hope you can understand. One year ago the most horrible tragedy befell us and we must all pull together. Pray for those souls lost last year and to the many heroes that emerged. They need all of our strength.

My Dearest and most understanding Brother,
First of all, I want to thank you for your, more than appropriate, support over the past weeks. I want to apologize to you for any delays that this may have caused us. My Mary has not adjusted well at home and we have made several trips back to the hospital. All seems to have settled now. I tried to call you three times today, upon our return. The phone rang busy twice and disconnected on the third try. I will try again tomorrow, because I have promised to you, my friend to be more persistent.
I have been going over all paperwork that you have sent me and I do not have a 2 page fax, as you have indicated. The last fax I received was from Sept 16th, from a Mrs Magret Ugo. It says that I am to desist with any further 3rd party communications. I am to have a Chartered NY bank (mine is Cayman Islands) and a lot of crap I do not understand. One thing that I noticed and am very concerned about....It says the contract award is for 20 million dollars....What's going on there Tobi? You told me 38.6 million. Is someone trying to screw us out of our money?!?!?!?!? Or is someone holding out on us. I need that addressed as soon as possible.
I must admit, while Mary was in the hospital, I merely glanced over some of the documentation that you sent to me. I was re-reading a fax you sent (or agency sent me) on August 28th. It was from the Presidential Reconciliation Committee, stating that they had received another account number from someone else stating that I was dead. There was no other fax communication between these two faxes. It seems the office of the President does not know what's going on either. No wonder why Nigeria is so fucked up.
Enough of that business...we will work more on that tomorrow. I have been wanting to tell you from the beginning of this correspondence about our new fortune. I contacted my broker today, returning many phone messages he has left for me......We are fuckin RICH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The two Biotech firms have done the unthinkable. Fromunda Sack and Vagitek have merged!!!!!!! The D.I.L.D.O project and the Pocketpussy project seemed like a natural fit so late one night, they all got together and merged to form a new company named Kindern Illigitimus. The juices are really flowing now. The stock tanked 600%the first day and an additional 352% the next. The net take on the deal was 17.8 million dollars from a measly 4 million dollar investment (that's minus my 4 million and brokers fees) Tobi --- you are a rich man. And so am I. I should be receiving the new stock certificate with a brokers statement within 10 days and I will forward that along to you.
