My travels have been long and exhaustive. We were re-routed to Port Harcourt for reasons not explained to us. The officials said they will arrange for a bus to take us to Lagos. I am so tired and cannot wait to collapse in my bed at the Sheraton. Of course, not for long, I want to meet my new friend and take care of our business. I am so looking forward to meeting with you and your family. In another day’s time, all of our dreams will come true!!!! Does Mr Kwame know I am coming. I told you I tried to send him an email and the mail was returned to me. I would hate it if our transaction were delayed because he didn't pay for his internet bill.

We are now in Warri. We are to make one more stop before proceeding to Lagos, W Benin City I believe(?) I have not been able to sleep much on the bus partially because of my anticipation of meeting you and partially because the chicken my neighbor is carrying keeps pecking at me. You never told me there were so many negros in Nigeria. I need to get out more.
The driver told us we should arrive in Lagos about noon. I will check into the hotel and call you immediately. Maybe I am just paranoid because of Mr Ikojo antics but there has been a car following the bus since we left Port Harcourt. I noticed one of the gentlemen in the airport when I got off the plane. I will keep a keen eye for scoundrels.

I am sorry I have not been in contact. I thought it would be best to come home from our facility in Missoula, Montana and see if Nuutz has tried to contact me here. Have you heard from him? I almost had a nervous breakdown the day after I wrote you and now I am frantic. I have no emails from him, no letters, no phone calls or messages from the other facilities.
I have discovered the phones are down here and I will see what the problem is. Nuutz told me there were tornados here before he left. I have our fax machine routed through the internet. They Murdered Nuutz!!
Dear Mr. Williams,
I have just gotten word from the Nigerian police that they think they have found my husband murdered. This is so awful, Mr. Williams. They have not identified the body yet. I have authorized an autopsy and they are to confirm the identity with me by Monday. I have sent dental records and several pictures to aid them. I wanted to come to Nigeria to personally identify the body, but they told me to stay home and they would be in contact with the US embassy detachment in Nigeria. Please say a prayer that it is not Nuutz, and keep Nuutz on your lips. How I wish I were holding my Nuutz right now. Thank you for all of your help and I will keep you informed.

I have not heard from you in several days. Do you not care about my Nuutz? I was under the impression that you two had become great friends.
I am sorry but I feel very hurt and alone right now. The U.S. Secret Service contacted me and has confirmed that my husband has been murdered. The dental records came back positive. In addition, they found the rings he bought for you and your colleagues. I identified pictures of the Skrotum rings, as I was with Nuutz when he picked them out. One had your name inscribed in it and now the Secret Service wants to question you in his disappearance.
I am attaching the document they sent me. I have received phone calls from them everyday in regards to his demise. I have been slow to respond because I wanted to talk to you first, however I cannot keep putting them off. They have requested your telephone numbers and email address. What should I do Mr. Williams…I am so confused and lost.

Letter from the Secret Service…it’s real I swear!!!!
Dear Mrs. Onurchin,
It is with deep regret that I am writing to you today. In the early morning hours of August 6, 2002, your husband Dr Nuutz Onurchin was found tortured, beaten and murdered just outside the city West Benin City, Nigeria. Regrettably, there are still pieces of the body that we have yet to find. We identified the remains through dental work from what teeth we could find at the scene.
We performed an autopsy posthumously, of course, and found five gold Skrotum rings lodged in his rectum. One of the rings had an inscription with ‘to Fattie Williams with Love, Nuutz’ inscribed on the inside. Could you put us in touch with this person, as we’d like to question him/her with the abduction and murder of your husband? We are seeking anyone who has had contact with Dr Onurchin in his last days.
Nigeria is a turbulent place and we have seen Americans and other nationals coerced by Nigerian scam artists, called 419er’s, to come to Nigeria in hopes of receiving millions of dollars. The victims are asked to send to provide personal information, banking information, and usually a large sum of money to ‘help’ the deal along. Ultimately, the victim is drained of their money, kidnapped, tortured, or even murdered.
Please accept our condolences, Mrs. Onurchin. We need your help to apprehend the suspects. If you could provide us with any correspondence your husband has had with any overseas persons or provide us with any clues, it would help our effort. We are particularly interested in speaking to this Fatai Williams as he seems to have been close to the situation.

Are you serious? Have you read a single fucking word I've written to you in the last emails? I told you he is fucking dead. I opened the email and could not believe my eyes. I sent you two emails telling you he was dead. I suggest you go back and reread the correspondence I recently sent regarding Nuutz.
For days before, I sent you correspondence regarding all information I had been provided with and I had not heard a single word from you. After all the emails I Send regarding the death of my husband you now wrote back and tell me you are going to face disappointments in regards to this freaking transaction?!?!?!?! Have you no heart??????
If you have not received the emails then you need to tell me. Please do not hold this outburst against me for I had known and loved Nuutz with all my heart for nearly 40 years and I am very upset right now. I pray that you have not received them and want to believe you are a sensitive man.

I would like to apologize for my recent outburst. I was very emotional in my response to you. It is very hard parting with someone who you have spent over 30 years with. Nuutz was my friend, Nuutz was my life. I do not not know how I will proceed forward without him. I thought you understood that after the two emails I sent regarding his death. Apparently, you did not read you emails before you inquired to his location.
What should I do about the secret service? They want to speak with you. I have not divulged any information to them...but they are putting pressure on me. Any more delays and they may begin to wonder why I would want to suppress information regarding my husbands demise. Why do you not respond to my emails???

I smell bullshit here. I have read Nuutz's correspondence with you. You sound more educated and perfectly capable of using a computer. After all, you are supposed to be a lawyer. Am I not right? This does not sound like the Fatai Williams my husband had been corresponding with. I find it strange that Nuutz has received correspondence from Francis Ikojo also. He told me he was not to be trusted and that there were some scoundrels interfering with your business. You have not answered any of the questions I have asked you and you have not acknowledged the death of my sweet Nuutz. I miss him terribly. I suggest you reread the correspondence I have sent and decide a course of action. If not, I will give your name to the Secret Service and they can contact your directly. You have not told me what to do here.

Well, I haven't heard from Fattie since August 24th, that makes about 3 weeks since I put this together. I think he is pretty much done. I have tried everything from anger to guilt and I can't seem to get a response. He appears not to take interest in the fact that Nuutz was murdered as you can tell by the most recent e-mails and Mary's pleadings. I'd like to get one more response out of him and then really let him have it. But if I don't, all is not lost......ya see....Fattie is about to receive another e-mail.
